I’m not happy at the job I’m at even though I work for Walgreen’s IT dept and it has great benefits. I can’t stand it because the 1.5 hour drive going and coming. Plus the long hours and they’re uber strict. My passion is to become a high school guidance counselor. I want to make over my finances so that I can own my home in the next couple years. I want to get the hell out of Illinois and move to a warmer climate. I want to do physical make over such getting rid of my adult acne, straightening and whitening my teeth, loosing 20lbs (I’m 5′1 145lbs), and get lasik eye so I never ever have to wear these gotdamn glasses anymore. I just don’t know where to start.
Start with one project at time so you are not overwhelmed and give up. Easy task first, go to the grocery store and get some whitening strips(they work!) and after that’s done start your next project.

Set time frames on your goals. Make them happen. It can be done. Start with one thing at a time. Accomplish one goal and move on to the next.
I say find a skin solution that works for you, i recommend to take a visit to a dermatologist. They are the only ones that can give you something specifically designed for you. Not some infomercial and not some over the counter product.
ZOOM whitening at most dentist is $299. You are in there about an hour and out and you have a perfect white smile!
For Lasik, unless you have money right now saved up that you could use to pay, maybe you want to get a small loan, or wait and save your money. Try contacts in the mean time. That way you wont have to wear your glasses.
To straighten your teeth, might i recommend getting invisiline. I wore them and my teeth are really straight. I don’t know if you get dental insurance but if you do, they are worth it more so than traditional braces.
As far as losing weight, until you move to your new state or wherever you move, sign up for a gym membership. Eating healthier, no snack foods, and a little exercise each week is all you need to drop some weight. Park further away from work and walking to your car. Boost you metabolism. Drink water. Really try hard to better yourself and tell yourself I’m doing this for ME!
As for moving just pick where would you like to move soon, CA, FL, NV, NY, JUST pick a place. Maybe you have family or friends in a sunny state who knows. Just pick a place you think you belong and start looking for a job in your desired career field. You could do research online to find job openings. Start getting your resume together.
Then the next step would be to get schooling to become a high school guidance counselor. You need experience to put on your resume in this field to be qualified, unless you already have some previous counseling experience. I suggest you might want to take some online classes or classes on a campus to be qualified to work at a school and be a guidance counselor to high schoolers.
Apply for your new job with your new outlook and great resume and schooling and new you. And hope for the best. And with a positive attitude.
As far as buying a home, i don’t know what your time frames are but just one step at a time. Even the smallest improvements are big steps towards the right direction.

Pre-screening for potential problems? Like Hi-Def CT scans, cancer pre-screening, blood work for potential illness, etc, or do I have to wait until I am really sick to schedule an appointment that probably would be too late to do anything? Will it cover a dietitian or physical trainer to make sure I stay as healthy as possible?
Vision Care? Will big brother Obama finance Lasik for me? Or at least keep me in current prescription glasses or contacts?
Dental? Will all my crowns and caps and cleanings be covered by this plan?
I doubt it would cover half that. But to be fair they can pay for dietitians and personal trainers all they want and still most people won’t use them. That’s why health insurance even now doesn’t cover that. And even if his plan covered all the things you listed it could be months and months before you could get in. Universal health care causes problems like that.

Many laser centers have “patient counselors” but only Dishler LASIK has a patient concierge. Dana is a nurse (RN) who has had the procedure herself, and has worked in surgery with patients helping them to understand their options for vision correction in Denver.

i will be enlisting into the arm reserve soon and i would like to know when i would be able to get the Rosetta stone software, and when i would be able to get onto the lasik eye surgery waiting list. I am going to be a finance technician so im sure i will be low on the list but still.
if that’s the only reason you aer enlisting, you might as well not even bother.
Rosetta Stone is on your AKO account. when you get that, you can access it.
as for the Eye surgery.. you have an almost zero chance of ever getting on the list period. One only a few locations offer it, two, priority goes to people whose jobs require it, three, all expenses incurred to get to the hospital and pre and post surgery are on YOUR dime and 4.. as a Reservist you stand almost no chance at all of ever being approved.
