SORRY, I don’t know about that area

I do however know a few people that have had it done here in the USA & went to well known Drs.,
but they still have problems

one had to have the operation done 2 times because his eye sight got WORSE the 1st time

another has a hard time seeing @ night, it messed up her night vision

& the other two seem to be ok

just look into it a lot & get all the info . you can about the Dr.

Eye-Sight for military special forces?

I am a 19 year old, considering joining army special forces; green berets. Desiring some kinda form of direct action MOS. So yeah, I’ll definitely need/want perfect eye-vision or better. Problem is that I am near-sighted and my myopia has not yet stabilized. So here’s my question. Is it possible to go through the training in order to become a green-beret during the time required for my eyes to stablize and then receive the army financed LASIK? Or do I have to have perfect-eyesight before I can even try out for army special forces. Any information related to eye-sight and military combat operatives would be greatly appreciated, thankyou.

i am not certain about the army. but for the navy seals it has to be correctable to 20/20. and the navy is paying for lasik right now for seals. Seals also get 40,000 enlist bonus

How soon after a Lasik consultation is the actual procedure?

I’ve decided I want to get Lasik to correct my vision, but I’m moving at the end of summer, and would like to get it done within the next 3-4 months. I already have the money I need to pay for it, so financing is not an issue. My insurance also gives me a nice discount. Once I choose a specialist and have a consultation, how long can I expect to wait before the actual procedure? Is there any hope of meeting my 3-4 month deadline, or is the waiting list for a good specialist going to be too long?

no problem. usually have to be out of contacts 6 weeks or so (varies by doc and type of lens) before the procedure

but no problem on 3 months.
